There are, of course plenty of places that you can go to receive your much needed R&R, however only area in California has wine, massages, mud baths, cozy B&Bs, quaint expensive restaurants and all the snootiness to go along with it.  I am speaking of the one and only Napa Valley.  Those who can afford to indulge in every single luxury that Napa offers, including their $20 wine tasting fees, which by the way can get you a very nice bottle of Chateau Souverain Cabernet Sauvignon for the same price or ten bottles of two-buck Chuck.  But never mind, Napa caters to the elite, to those who don’t regard inflated prices as any sort of obstacle.

If you want to jump over the price hurdles yourself you might want to seriously consider a trip to Napa, where you can choose either the luxurious Mount View Hotel& Spa or the Chelsea Garden Inn to put up your weary feet.  Both offer spa packages, so you will be sure to get your fair share of minerals and mud before you leave.  Just keep in mind that for a hellava lot cheaper you can stay at home, get a cheap case of wine from Costco and employ your darling other half to give you a nice shoulder rub.
