Booked online a 5:15 pm Appt for my 9 yr old for haircut. We arrive @ 5:10. Lights off! We took chances and tried the door and behold, the door was open. Gentleman greets us with “Hi, your so and so that booked online this morning?” I reply “yes”. He continues to say “I’m sorry but there’s been a death in the family” I said “oh ok well I wish someone would’ve called me to cancel appt” he replies “Ma’am I’m literally trying to locate my fathers body at the moment “ Ok, I don’t want to come across as insensitive but….why are you at the salon trying to locate a body? Why couldn’t ANYONE have called to cancel appt. I’m a bit confused here as to where were all the stylists if by chance this happened suddenly whereas no one could call to cancel clients appointments? Strange overall first time experience at this salon. Crazier was the gentleman coming out of salon as we walked out saying “your $12 online deposit was refunded to you” I could care less about the $12! If you had time to refund my money, could you not have had the courtesy to call and cancel appt?!!! That would have been appreciated more than the $12 refund! Time is of the essence for us working moms!!!
